Senior Vice President/Owner

Richard joined Claycomb in 2001 and serves as Senior Vice President and Principal-in-Charge of the Houston office.

Although he thought he’d be a construction worker at the age of 5, Richard eventually found his true calling:  helping school districts resolve their facility issues so they can better educate students.

Known for his caring, detail-oriented approach, Richard brings responsiveness and a strong commitment to maintaining integrity through every step of the construction process.  His personal motto is:  “Sacrifice yourself for others and be willing to do whatever it takes whenever it is needed.”

When he’s not on the jobsite, Richard enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Laura, and his 2 daughters, Katy and Caroline.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington.
